I think another factor going on is what beliefs appeal to you in and of themselves. If certain paradigms just make me feel innately oogy and like I really don't want them to be true, then I have to balance that against my high need for certainty. Or if I'm really not moved by the teachings of a certain structure, I have to balance that against my high need for structure. In both those cases, that's been the deciding factor why I didn't end up an atheist or a Catholic. Perhaps (as in my case) how you feel about the teachings themselves are so much of an overriding factor that these factors you describe end up being more or less how satisfied you are with the teachings you feel happiest with...
